On Sunday December 5th, Nathen, Annie and I went to Joshua's baby blessing and it was a great day. We were talking in the car on the way home about how it was sad to see another weekend go by and have to start another crazy week on Monday. After we got home and changed our clothes Nathen called me and Annie into the living room and gave us a special early Christmas present. We unwrapped it and inside was a video tape. At this point I was thinking, "Oh great, this is going to take forever". Anyone who knows Nathen knows what I mean. He loves to make you work for your gift. We put the video in and he had simply video taped one of our rooms in the basement (the messiest one of course) and had hidden clues in it. We had to find the clues and guess our surprise. After he filmed the room for a minute or so he video taped our second clue which was our big Scooby-Doo wearing Mickey ears. I didn't want to guess that we were going to Disneyland out loud because if that wasn't really our surprise, I didn't want to ruin the real surprise for Nathen. He then asked Annie where you get Mickey hats and finally told us that he was taking us to Disneyland and we were leaving in the morning. I was overwhelmed and taken completely by surprise. For those of you who don't know, Disneyland is pretty much my favorite place on this planet and I have many fond memories of it from my childhood. Luckily I have successfully converted Nathen to Disneyland fanaticism. As many times as I've been to Disneyland I have never been at Christmastime and this trip couldn't have come at a better time for our little family. Nathen's surprise was one of the best surprises of my life. Annie and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful man for a daddy and husband. Thank you Nathen for such a wonderful gift!

Disneyland is beautiful at Christmastime!
