Annie's 1st Day of Preschool

Today was Annie's official first day of Preschool. On Tuesday we went to an open house where she got to meet her teacher and see her classroom. Today was the first day she got to go all by herself. I was very relieved this morning when she woke up excited to go to school because last night she was crying and saying she didn't want to go. She goes to the preschool at Hunter Elementary which is right across the street from us so we get to walk there together. This morning she ran half of the way. When we got to her classroom she walked right in, hung up her backpack and acted as though she's been doing this forever. She was so excited to be there that she quickly forgot about me and never even said goodbye. Now, this is a very good thing for her, but for a mom dropping off her only child at her first day of school it was a little hard. I am just so thankful that she is adjusting well and is enjoying it so far. I think I will adjust pretty quickly as well and enjoy my three hour break twice a week!
